At the end of last week, my sister arrives home with yet another dog. Apparently there was some confusion over what she was bringing home.

The dog belonged to a friend of hers who had found it on the street about a year ago. Turns out the dog is an older dog. She has to be older than 10 years old. She's slightly blind, has an ear infection, had a haircut because all her hair/fur was in knots and her tongue hangs out of her mouth because she only has 3 teeth. The first time I saw her, she reminded me of Mr. Winkle.

I don't really know what's going to happen with this dog. Her name, or atleast the one she was given at her previous home is Gamuza. That translates into Lint or Lint ball....had to be because of the knotted hair.

Today we took her to the Humane Society to be checked out and it seems she's ok. The vet did tell us that her teeth were removed. That was weird to here. Who would do that? And more importantly, why? Apparently the "colmillos" are teeth that are so deep into the jaw bone, they typically don't fall out by themselves. So, someone either had them removed or she was in some accident. I don't really know what to think. She was definitely a dog that was well kept wherever she first lived since she's spaded. People usually don't go around spading dogs and them letting them loose on the streets. Then somewhere along the line she lost all, but 3 teeth and now she's here at my house.

We'll see what happens.
