Anyone who knows me, even if it's a little bit, knows I take my camera everywhere. Being at camp was no exception. And today being the talent show, pictures were a must.
So I take my camera out and I'm ready to go...until I turn it on. There is no welcome screen. There is no view of the kids sitting infront of me. All that is present on the screen is a violent
purple blotch. My though: "W.T.F.?!" After staring at it for a bit, I came to the conclusion the screen got jack'd up. Great. My next thought was if the camera would still take pictures. That was very useless because it's not like I could review them. But, I checked the camera functions anyway. Turns on and off...check. Flashes...check. Lens hides when viewing the pictures...check. Actually seeing something rather than the purple blotch...NO.
I just checked the card to see if the random pictures actually were taken and yes. The camera appear to be in working condition with a slight visual impairment. No screen. So, I guess I could still use my camera. I just can't see how many pictures are left on my card, can't see the battery life left, can't see what settings it's on etc. Will I get it fixed? Hm...haven't decided yet.
Unfortunately, this is the 2nd Pentax camera that I (or by forces out of my control) have damaged. My first one got rain wet while watching La Oreja De Van Gogh play. Maybe it's time to invest in a different brand. Or...does anyone wanna give me a free digital camera? :)
If you find someone who is willing to do donations, get me one too! ^_^
