I went to Kmart today. Went to buy usual stuff like gel and hairspray so I didn't stay long. When I get home I typically empty my pockets. Yes, I use my pockets. I rarely ever use an actual purse, but I digress. This time around I didn't take the change out of my pocket. I ate lunch, relaxed a bit and just now took the change out. I separate the pennies from the rest because I put them in a big empty rum bottle. I already filled up an Absolut bottle so I use this rum bottle now...but I digress, again.

I checked the pennies to see if there are any old "One Cent" logo pennies in the bunch and that's when I noticed something odd. I'd gotten Canadian money at an American store in Puerto Rico. Granted it was just a penny, but it's still a long way from home. Just goes to show you people don't look at the change their given and who cares about the penny right?

Wasn't there some talk about how the govt. was going to eliminate the penny? I happen to like pennies. They're still useful, especially now when the sale tax is in full force. Those small brown circular money are usually the deciders in if you can pay in full or have to break another dollar and get even more change. And let's not forget how usefull they are at the pay tolls. Las "perras" te han resuelto mas de una vez y lo saben.

Anyway, Kmart owes me a penny
