Recently I received an email from my good friend Tina. Basically what it said was that her little cousin George, is going through some major health problems right now. I assure you this is legit and not some spam crap. She's trying to raise money to send her cousin to NY for treatment. I copied the email on here. Take the time to read below and even check out the website for more info. I know she'd appreciate any help and fwding this along.

Hi guys,

I am hoping that you can help me to raise money to help to send my 8 year old cousin to America for life saving treatment for childhood cancer (Neuroblastoma). He has battled against the cancer for the last 18 months and was given the all clear 4 months ago but the cancer has returned and sadly he cannot be treated further in the UK .

We need to raise a large amount of money to send George for treatment in the USA as quickly as possible. George's Appeal is being supported by The 2Simple Trust, a registered UK Charity, no (1113954) further information on Neuroblastoma and George's appeal can be found on

George has been through so much in the past 18 months and we dearly hope that you can help in some way. ANYTHING that you can do to help us to give George a chance of survival would be greatly appreciated. It is our only hope at this stage

Thanks, Tina

Congratulations to Antonio and Andrea on their engagement!

(Antonio llama a casa ayer y me dice "Me comprometi". Yo le respondi, "A que?". Antonio dice "A Andrea!". "AHHHHH! Pense que ibas a decir que te comprometistes a hacerle algo a alguien. Hahaha! Felicidades!!", le dije. Tu sabes como es, a veces no se capta rapidamente lo que la otra persona te quiere decir ;) )

Last night was the final night of this Coors Light event called Art @ Bars. The idea was that Coors was looking for an original painting that they'd use on the bottles during this upcoming christmas. So, they went around the bars and certain people painted. The finalists work was exhibited at El Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico last night. The judges saw and chose a winner. It was a real chill event. A few of us went and I hadn't eaten dinner so I was hungry. Apparently I wasn't alone in that feeling because most of everyone in our group was waiting for the food to come out. We stalked the chicken kababs as they entered the room :)

As far as the art goes, I did like the winner's painting and a few others. I do have to say, there were some that I didn't understand how or why they were chosen as finalists. The paintings didn't make sense from a marketing point of view...something you can slab on as a label. Either way, it was a fun night.

The Cliks are a kick*ss band I've been listening to. Their album's called Snakehouse and it hasn't left my cd player since I got it. I've been meaning to put their video up on here, so here it is.
Love 'em!

This is yet another band that I wish would come play in PR. I was recently in Virginia, but I just missed their shows in the DC/Baltimore area. Oh well.

So I was in VA this past weekend. I'd been feeling the itch to get out of PR for a couple of days and it just so happened that Ari was going to be performing in DC that same weekend. I hadn't seen that fool in 7 years and our trips never coincide so it was cool that it worked out this time. So a few of us went and had a great time seeing Ari do his thing and hanging out.

It was a cool trip. Hung out with friends and saw people I hadn't seen a while. Always fun. :)

Congratulations to Adriana and Ryan on their wedding!

We stayed at the hotel next to the one where the wedding was being held. OMG! When I walked into the lobby 2 things happened. 1) The movie The Shining came to mind and 2) it freaked me out. It looked as it hadn't been remodeled since it openned in the 70's. It was a combination of looking like something out of  The Shining mixed with a very old looking airport lobby. WEIRD! and FREAKY!

Everything about the wedding was super nice and beautiful. So many details! I loved the trees with the hanging glass. And the table decoration....wow. It looked like something you'd see in a magazine. The food was excellent and people partied till 3am!

So Adriana and Ryan tie the knot in a couple of day and so of course you had to party. :) I mainly sat back and shapped some funny shots. The girls all went to Brava. Drinks were drank, dances were danced and a good time was had by all.

Yesterday was Andrea's 26th birthday and we had a party at the house. It was supposed to have been a surprise party, but she already knew about it days ago (Gracias Rafa!). She was a good sport about it though and still went along with it. For a year I'd been hearing about this cookie cake. I get it...it's a very large cookie in cake form. I still had never seen one and luckily Nestle Toll House opened all those shops so I finally saw one. That's what she wanted, that's what she got. Pretty good.

The usual suspects showed up and we all had a good time. There were a couple of random people who I was trying to figure out who they were, but no one seemed to know the story behind them. Oh well.

Recently I've received a few wrong number calls. That's ok because everyone gets those. But the people that have called me are wanting more info on some apartment that I'm supposedly renting. What?!

It looks like someone put an ad in the paper about some apartment and they wrote the wrong number. So now I'm getting these calls. Great! I hope it doesn't last too long.

Jo Ann came down to PR with some friends to celebrate one of them turning 30. Lots of fun was had even though I didn't take that many pictures. I did take her to Pink Skirt of course! It's not a PR trip if you don't go to Pink Skirt ;) j/k.

Notice how Jo Ann has trouble keeping her eyes open in a few of them :)

College bound rowdy boys who are in the process of finding themselves focus on...history?

Eight teenage boys have gotten the highest test marks in their school. This qualifies them to try for the best universities in England like Oxford. At the same time they're cramming all these historical facts, they flirt with issues of sexuality, religion, sex (or the lack there of) and the like. The Headmaster (Clive Merisson) is on mission to get as many of the students into first class universities. So he brings in a new teacher, Mr. Irwin (Stephen Campbell Moore). He's there to help the boys think outside the box for their final test and interviews. It's all about separating themselves from other students who are in the running. In the end, it's a combination of looking at history through a different perspective mixed in with the ecletic teachings of their "hands on" general studies teacher Hector (Richard Griffiths) that gets the job done.

I might've been the only person who didn't know this was a play beforehand, but it doesn't take long to notice. There's lots of fast-paced comebacks and singing and acting out bits and pieces of other plays. It seemed out of place for a movie to be written like that so I always thought it felt like a play. And the focus on history...I have never felt so stupid in my life. Most of the time I didn't know what they were talking about. I certainly didn't know what plays the songs or scenes they spontaneously acted out were from. It's safe to say I was a bit lost with all that.

Even so, that didn't take away from me watching the movie. It's enjoyable to watch. Boys are still boys and in the middle of all the seriousness of knowing every SINGLE historical detail, they make fun of and get a rise out of the teachers, Headmaster and of each other. The boys are witty, sharp and always on their toes. And at the same time caring and endearing. So, I can over look all the history stuff I didn't know anyway.

Yesterday we went on a catamaran. Never been on one of those and I was surprised at how many people were on it. I think there was a total of 74 people and to me that seemed like way too much. There were lots of little kids who I kept thinking were going to fall off the boat, but they didn't.

We stopped at two islands...Icaco and some other island, I can't remember the name. The last time I'd been to Icaco was 1995 at my senior skip day. Yeah. Anyway! It was a fun day trip and now I'm a tad bit red even though I slabbered on the sunblock and reapplied. Even my scalp hurts (which always reminds me of the Schieffer twins haha! Luv ya!).
